The “Bloop” sound is triggered when either you or your role is @mentioned. If it gets annoying, you can turn it off by clicking the settings cog above the chat and changing Sound Notification to Off.
You can also change your settings to play a sound whenever a message is sent in the chat. To do this, you need to go back onto your user settings (the cog above the chat) and change Sound Notification to On.
